Backyard Movies – 5 Great Ways to Enjoy Your Backyard Movie Theater

Although many people realize that hosting a backyard movie theater is enjoyable for everyone, what many people simply realize is that there are many other ways to enjoying your home theater instead of just throwing a movie into the DVD player. Here are some interesting things people do:

Karaoke Night –

Had a great time watching yourself on TV in your family room or the local bar, but what about the big screen in your backyard? If you like karaoke or just want to try it this is the way to do it. Just hook up the karaoke machine, plug the camera into the projector and start singing. You will be surprised at how much fun it is to see yourself on the big screen.

Theme Movie Night –

Sometimes new releases don’t hold a candle to time-tested classics. Check out the classics with a twist and have a theme night. Have a cookout and put on your best western outfit, throw in a classic western and have a western theme. Can’t get enough Kung Fu movies? Order Chinese food and throw on a Bruce Lee Movie. Remember to have everyone come dressed in their favorite kung fu or karate outfit. The caddyshack is a classic and you can show it off after a round of golf with the boys. Of course you have to show up in the worst golf clothes you can pull out of your closet. The best part of the night is that the movies don’t have to be first runs and are all about food and friends and clothes.

Birthday Parties –

Inflatables and game rooms are great but how fun would it be to have a backyard movie night for your kids birthday party. Not only would it be a fun and unique experience but if you find the right movie they will last several hours and you can get some free time too.

Block Party –

What better way to bring your neighbors together than to have a block party and backyard movie screening. It is not even necessary to use your yard if you live on a dead-end street or there is a park nearby. Get everyone involved with food and drink and all you will need to do is bring a screen and projector. As a precaution you can schedule several movie nights to accommodate all the advice you will get from each neighbor.

Game Night –

You don’t just have to show movies on your backyard cinema screen. It has a nice multimedia projector that is perfect for night games with the kids. Rockband, Xbox and PlayStation games make for a fun night that everyone can enjoy.
